EHL Students
Our students have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of individual and group sports activities.
Fitness Center
EHL students enjoy access to the fitness center 7/7.
Certified coaches are on-site to guide and advise students on using the various pieces of equipment. A personal training service is also available on request for anyone who would like individualized support during their workouts.

Pool
The pool is open to students for free swimming and relaxation.
Multiple swimming classes are offered each week for swimmers of all levels. These sessions are led by professional coaches.

Sport Pitches
Students can use our outdoor sports facilities throughout the academic year and borrow any necessary equipment from the sports department.
Sports pitches available are: beach volleyball, and multisports pitch,2 tennis, 2 padel tennis.

BodyPump is a fitness class with weights that will help your entire body get stronger. It will help you really push it… regardless of your age or fitness level. It is perfect for people who like group classes and who find lifting weights boring but want to add a few dumbbells to their workout.
What are the benefits?
Thanks to the different types of exercises, BodyPump is a full-body workout that features strength training while toning the muscles and improving your cardio.
What should you expect?
The class runs anywhere from 30 to 55 minutes and lively music will help motivate you as you work all muscle groups.
Who is this class geared to?
This class is ideal for everyone with a good fitness level (participants can choose the amount of weight they want).
The infamous ‘Cuisse Abdos Fessiers’ class
What are the benefits?
By regularly attending the ‘thigh, abs, glutes’ class participants help their bodies feel good: exercises are designed to strengthen and tone the lower body and midsection. It sculpts muscles and the result is often highly satisfactory for the glutes, thighs and stomach.
What should you expect?
Exercises generally take place on the ground and alternate between isolating the thighs, glutes and abs (using one’s one body weight or with little dumbbells). Classes feature a warmup, toning exercises and stretching.
Who is this classe geared to?
This class is ideal for everyone whether you’re a fitness newcomer or an experienced veteran.
Circuit training is a class that is intense, fast and efficient that develops all sorts of fundamental physical qualities: strength, power, quickness, endurance, coordination, balance and body movement.
What are the benefits?
The class is excellent for working on your functional strength, endurance and agility.
What should you expect?
During the circuit training class, participants do exercises that work endurance, strength and agility and, while various equipment is used, the body’s own weight is the main driving force. Circuit training involves moving from one station to the next with little recovery time in between exercises. Once the series of exercises have been completed, participants start the circuit over again.

This class is accessible for everyone and ideal for all levels.
HIIT, which stands for High Intensity Interval Training, is an intense 30-minute class with very short breaks that will push you to the limit.
What are the benefits?
This class is excellent for losing weight; HIIT tones muscles and burns a maximum amount of calories. Using bars, weights, steps and your own body weight, this class will help you maximize your workout.
What should you expect?
HIIT is a training method that consists in alternating short periods of intense exercise with just a quick breather. The class will help you develop your strength, endurance and flexibility and rarely exceeds 30 minutes.
Who is this classe geared to?
This class is perfect for people who want a really hard workout that is fast and intense.
Pilates is the practice of postural exercises combined with breathing techniques. Its goal is to make the body “as strong as a Greek column and as supple as a cat.
What are the benefits?
Strengthening deep muscles, improving posture, increasing body awareness, enhancing respiratory function and blood circulation.
What should you expect?
Sessions focus on a sequence of exercises synchronized with the breath. In the beginning, movements will be slow and precise. As you become accustomed to feeling and aligning your body correctly, you develop strength and perform the movements more quickly and fluidly.
Who is this class geared to?
This class is open to everyone and ideal for all levels.
Similar to kick boxing, Thai boxing, which is also called Muay Thai is a strenuous cardio class that really lets you blow off some steam. Through various technical and practical exercises, you burn calories and improve your cardio while kicking, punching and other doing other ‘kata’ moves.
What are the benefits?
Burning a maximum amount of calories and improving your cardio.
What should you expect?
Technical exercises (katas) in pairs or as a group led by a martial arts professional.
Who is this classe geared to?
This class is accessible for everyone and ideal for all levels.
During this indoor cycling class you pedal along with the motivational music. An instructor guides the peloton through varied terrain featuring climbs, time trials and sprints!
What are the benefits?
Spinning is the perfect activity for burning as many calories in the shortest amount of time while improving your cardiovascular capacities.
What should you expect?
During the spinning class, the group will pedal at various intensities: slow, medium and really hard! It is a perfect combination of biking and fitness and the results are impressive.

This class is accessible for everyone and ideal for all levels.
During the yoga class, participants work on getting into various positions and performing breathing exercises. Yoga is founded on freeing up your ‘chakras’ and aims to help you improve your physical and mental wellbeing.
What are the benefits?
Improving flexibility, posture and positive energy.
What should you expect?
Yoga exercises combine meditation, light gymnastics, positions and breathing. You will practice movements that will help you improve your flexibility while strengthening your body. You also will work on your breathing in order to facilitate the flow of your body’s energy.

Students can take part in different practices organized on and off the EHL campus.

Recreational practices open to everyone
Practices take place on an off-campus pitch when the weather is good and in the gym the rest of the year (winter).
Badminton
Recreational practices are open to everyone and take place in our beautiful gym.
Tennis
Recreational trainings open to all. The trainings take place at our outdoor courts.
Table Tennis
Ping-pong tables are freely accessible at the sports reception. Outdoor tables are also available near the student residences..
Padel Tennis
Students can make use of the padel courts free of charge all year round, weather permitting. Tournaments are organized during the fair-weather season
Rugby
A men’s competitive team registered with the FSR trains throughout the year.
Their training sessions take place on an outdoor field owned by the City of Lausanne.
Volleyball
